This Concentric Flanged Butterfly Valve (Size 4 inch / DN100) features a one-piece flanged body cast in ductile iron GGG50, a mirror-polished disc, and an interference-fit EPDM rubber seat that guarantees bubble-tight shut-off in both flow directions. The flange type butterfly valve end connection allows direct bolting between DIN PN10/16, ANSI B16.1 Class 125/150 and BS 4504 flanges without gaskets, because the vulcanized seat also functions as the flange gasket and fully isolates the body from the media.

The turbine worm gear operator reduces operating torque, enables smooth 90-degree quarter-turn operation and provides a visible open/close position indicator. Adjustable travel stops at the fully open and fully closed positions ensure accurate flow control for every 4 inch flanged butterfly valve we ship.

Installation and Maintenance of the 4 Inch Flanged Butterfly Valve

Install the Concentric Flanged Butterfly Valve with the disc 15-20 degrees off the fully closed position during flange alignment to protect the EPDM seat edge from scratching. Use compatible flat flanges, center the disc clearance bores, then tighten bolts diagonally in several passes. The worm gear operator is maintenance-free under normal conditions; a quarterly open/close cycling test is recommended to keep the seat flexible. For long-term storage, keep the 4 inch flanged butterfly valve in a dry, ventilated warehouse with the disc slightly open.
