Type : BS5150/DIN3352/API600D/GOST
High Temperature Resistance:200°C–450°C (depending on the material)
Wear Resistance: Suitable for media containing particulates (e.g., mineral slurries, ash, and slag)
Resistance: Options available include alloy construction or hard-facing via hard-material overlay welding
Long Service Life: Metal sealing surfaces are resistant to aging
Free from issues associated with rubber aging
BS5150/DIN3352/API600D /GOST carbon steel metal seated gate valve
Metal-seated gate valves achieve sealing through direct metal-to-metal contact between the gate and the valve seat. Compared to soft-seated gate valves, they offer superior resistance to high temperatures, abrasion, and erosion. The opening and closing mechanism relies on the valve stem driving the gate in a vertical motion to either cut off or allow the flow of fluid.
Working Principle
When the valve is closed:
Driven by the valve stem, the gate moves downward to establish metal-to-metal contact with the valve seat, thereby achieving a sealed state.
When the valve is open:
The gate rises, fully opening the flow channel and allowing fluid to pass through with virtually no resistance (full-bore design).
This type of valve is particularly well-suited for applications in steam systems, petrochemical plants, slurry transport, power generation facilities, and the metallurgical industry. It maintains stable performance even under harsh operating conditions, offers a long service life, and requires minimal maintenance.
