Project location : DN1200-DN1400 Butterfly Valve for Municipal Water supply Project  Malaysia

Project Overview

This case involves a municipal water supply network upgrading project in Malaysia . Our large-diameter turbine-driven butterfly valves, with specifications of DN1200 and DN1400, were core equipment for the main water supply pipeline, responsible for segmented control, flow regulation, and emergency cut-off of the urban water supply network.

Product Advantages

Our valves feature a ductile iron body, ensuring high pressure resistance and corrosion resistance for long-term buried operation, with a service life exceeding 20 years. Equipped with a worm gear drive, they solve the problem of large opening/closing torque for large-diameter valves, enabling convenient manual operation. The EPDM rubber seat provides excellent sealing performance, achieving zero leakage at 1.5 times the working pressure. Compared with gate valves of the same caliber, the compact structure significantly reduces the size of the valve well, cutting construction costs.

Project Outcome

After completion, the project realized segmented control of the main pipeline, increasing the urban central water supply capacity by 40%. Maintenance impact was minimized—only the corresponding valve needs to be closed during pipeline maintenance, greatly reducing resident disruption. The valves' stable performance has been highly recognized by the municipal water supply company, becoming a reliable guarantee for urban water supply system operation.
